Student Council Elections 2024 – A Milestone in Student Leadership
The Student Council Elections 2024 at ICE concluded with great enthusiasm and remarkable student participation, marking a significant step in empowering student voices on campus.
This year’s elections saw a dynamic group of candidates vying for leadership roles, with positions open for the Head of Council, Presidents, and General Secretaries across five societies: Entrepreneurial Society, SWAT (Social Welfare and Trust Society), Sports Society, Media, Arts & Literacy Society, and Microsoft & ICT Society.
The campaign phase was nothing short of inspiring, with nominees showcasing creative campaigns, banners, and even some exciting giveaways to engage their peers. From open mic sessions to vibrant posters, the campus was alive with student energy and spirit as candidates shared their vision for the future of the ICE community.
Interviews were held to evaluate the leadership potential, goals, and passion of the nominees, allowing candidates to express their ideas for positive change. The final voting day was held on November 27, 2024, when students turned out in impressive numbers to cast their votes and support their peers.
The event wasn’t just about leadership titles; it was a celebration of student involvement, collaboration, and the power of representation. The newly elected council is set to bring fresh ideas, stronger student advocacy, and a continued spirit of unity to the campus.
