HND in Human Resource Management prepares you for employment in HRM or progression to further education by helping to develop the foundational knowledge of Human resource management theories and related concepts.

HND in Business provides an introduction to the main areas of human resource management, including the human resource management role and function. This knowledge is then built on to give a broader perspective of human resource management practices. Topics covered include the role of training and employee development and employment relationships on an organizational and national level, including industrial conflict, the resolution of disputes and negotiation.

The credits gained on an HND are equal to the first two years of an undergraduate programme, a lot of universities in the United Kingdom and internationally can offer you a seat on the third or final year of a degree course (rather than making you start at the beginning).

The overall duration of the HND (Year1 + Year 2) is 2 years which leads on to the final year of an undergraduate programme.

Each individual unit carries 15 credits. You are required to secure 240 credits to complete your HND in human resource management.

For entry in an HND programme, the student must have at least one of the following in academics

All of the study materials and student handbooks will be supplied. A tutor will be allocated to you for academic support who you can contact on the phone and email. For administrative support, you will be given access to a Student Support Coordinator.

A Higher National Diploma is a two years undergraduate programme leading to an international graduate degree. It is a skill based qualification designed to help the candidates with employment by giving them hands-on skills, focusing on varnishing skills and teaching them practical application of concepts. This programme is a coursework based qualification and is spread over two years (4 semesters), with different specialization pathways. The aim of this qualification is to equip the learner with up-to-date sector-related skills so as to make the employment path easier for them by focusing on the skill sets in addition to understanding and knowledge of the content and the subjects. It is a flexible programme that meets the requirements of working individuals as well.

Currently we are offering HND in Business and Computing with different specialized pathways. The learner can choose the pathways at the start of their session and can enroll in the designated programme. Each pathway ensures a holistic academic and vocational experience for the learner.

Anyone with a Level 3 qualification is eligible for the programme, this includes A-Levels, FSC and Pre-U Foundation Diploma.

Yes, the progarmme is approved by HEC and at the completion of two years the candidate can claim the equivalence which is equal to a 14 years qualification in local context. Choosing to do the top-up year and ensuring the undergraduate degree requirements are complete, the candidate can get equivalence from HEC for a 16 years honours degree.

Equivalent to 14 years of education in Pakistan, plus a chance at employment in their elected field as this is a skill- based qualification. As this is a skill-based qualification designed for working professionals and individuals aspiring to work in management, administartive and other professional settings, just a two years qualification is still enough to help launch their career. The difference between an HNC and HND is the number of credit hours.

The total cost of HND is 692000PKR including 600 pounds international fees. The tuition fee can also be paid in installments (consult admissions department).

This programme has a total of 120 credit hours in first years, which is also called Higher National Certificate. After successfully completing the first year, the learner can choose to leave the programme with just the certificate with 120 credit hours. The second year, called the Higher National Diploma, also has 120 credits, and at the completion the student gets a qualification equivalent to a 14 years programme in the local context.

A top-up year is the final year of the undergraduate programme. HNC is the first years of an undergraduate programme, HND is the second year and top-up is the final year. Any learner, after completing their Higher National Diploma, can directly enroll in the top-up year in any university that has partnered with the awarding body or offers that pathway and graduate with that university’s undergraduate degree. The final degree will be awarded by the university stating that you have completed a BA (Hons.) degree with them.

Buckinghamshire University through its distance learning programme offers a Top-up year for ICE students who have successfully completed their HND in Business.

The Centre operates on-campus primarily but online mode of study is also available and can be requested in case of special circumstances. The request can be made through the admission office. For both modes of study, the learners will have access to all the learning material and the best faculty in their respective are of specialization.

Sumbal Manzoor-CMgr MCMI

Sumbal Manzoor is an experienced academician and management professional who is Head of Centre at ICE. She also holds the General Manager (Academics) position at iQualify UK and has been associated with the higher education sector, in UK and Pakistan, for the past decade working in different capacities that include Lecturer, Programme Coordinator, Education Manager and Research Supervisor.
Along with holding a Chartered Manger status, she acquired her Graduate & Post Graduate qualifications in Business Administration & Strategic Management and Leadership from Buckinghamshire New University. Sumbal continues to work with the Chartered Management Institute-UK as a Lecturer, vocational trainer and assessor pursuing professional management qualifications.

Dr. Anthony Stevenson

Dr. Stevenson has a Ph.D. in Finance Banking from Loughborough University along with an MSc in Finance and an MBA in Finance from University of Leicester. He is currently serving as Academic Lead Accounting and Finance at University of Derby since 2017. He has experience in teaching internationally having taught in Asia and many other parts of the world including serving as the Head of the school at KDU University College Penang, Malaysia in 2016, the Director of Banking Studies Senior Lecturer Banking and Finance from 2014-2016 at James Cook University Singapore and as the Director of Finance and Banking Senior Lecturer Finance University of Bedfordshire. In addition, he has published research papers in the areas of bank lending behavior and the impact of constrained liquidity on small firms in Europe.

Mandy is an experienced educator currently serving as the Programame Leader – HND Business Management, Travel & Tourism Management and Hospitality Management at the City College London since 2018. Moreover, she has also taught at Harlow College, Hertford Regional College and Anglia Ruskin University. She has also worked as a Marketing Manager at Tesco PLC
