The International College of Excellence (ICE), Islamabad, was honoured to host Ms Jane Baker, Vice President of Business Development at Pearson, as the Chief Guest at the High Achievers Ceremony 2025. The event was a celebration of academic excellence, creativity, and dedication, recognising students who have excelled in their respective fields.
During the ceremony, Ms Baker presented shields and certificates to the high achievers and distinction students from the Computing, Business, and Art & Design departments. She congratulated the students on their hard work, determination, and commitment to success, noting that their achievements reflect the quality of teaching and learning taking place at ICE Pakistan.
In her address, Ms Baker spoke about the importance of skill-based education and the value of Pearson BTEC qualifications, which ICE proudly offers in Business, Computing, and Art & Design. She highlighted how these globally recognised programmes prepare students for the real world by combining academic knowledge with practical experience, developing learners who are confident, capable, and career-ready.
ICE Pakistan’s BTEC programmes focus on practical learning, creativity, and innovation, qualities that are vital in today’s competitive and rapidly changing world. Ms Baker praised ICE Pakistan for effectively implementing the BTEC framework and for providing students with an environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on skill development.
As part of her visit, Ms Baker toured the Fashion & Textile Lab, where she was deeply inspired by the students’ creativity, craftsmanship, and professionalism. She admired the originality and quality of their work, describing it as a reflection of ICE’s strong commitment to fostering artistic talent and global learning opportunities.
Ms Baker also expressed her appreciation for the strong partnership between Pearson and ICE Pakistan, commending their shared mission to advance educational excellence and empower students to meet international standards. She reaffirmed Pearson’s ongoing support for ICE in nurturing future leaders through quality, skills-focused education.
