Pinktober – Breast Cancer Awareness Session

This Pinktober, we were proud to host a Breast Cancer Awareness Session that brought together students and faculty to focus on the importance of early detection and proactive health care.

Led by Dr. Mahnoor Nadeem, the session was both enlightening and empowering, offering practical guidance on self-examination, timely screenings, and recognizing early warning signs. Her expert insights highlighted a crucial message: awareness alone isn’t enough, action saves lives.

The session emphasised that being informed is just the first step. Regular self-checks, timely medical consultations, and encouraging loved ones to do the same can make all the difference in identifying breast cancer at a stage when it is most treatable. Participants left with not only knowledge but also a renewed sense of responsibility to prioritize their health and spread awareness in their communities.

Adding to the impact, students organised a Bake & Sale fundraising drive, channeling their creativity and enthusiasm into meaningful action. The funds raised were dedicated to supporting breast cancer awareness programs and patient care, reflecting the compassion and community spirit of our campus. Participants were proudly awarded certificates in recognition of their contributions, celebrating both their engagement and their commitment to a critical cause.

This initiative reminded us that awareness, action, and support go hand in hand. Together, we can break the silence around breast health, encourage proactive care, and make a real difference. Let’s continue to champion this cause and ensure that early detection remains a priority, because knowledge, care, and timely action can truly save lives.
