A-Levels (Advanced Level qualifications) are internationally recognized pre-university courses that prepare students for higher education in Pakistan or abroad. They focus on in-depth study of subjects and develop analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
Students who have completed O-Levels, Matriculation (Science/Arts), or equivalent qualifications are eligible. A-Levels are generally taken by students aged 16–19 years.

Most students take 3–4 subjects, depending on career goals. For competitive fields like medicine or engineering, 4 subjects (including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Computer Science) are recommended.
Yes. Most Pakistani universities, including medical and engineering colleges, accept A-Levels. Some may require equivalence certificates from the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC)
Yes. A-Levels are widely recognized by universities in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and Europe, as well as many professional and research institutions globally.
Grades are awarded from *A (highest) to E (minimum pass)*.
It is possible to change subjects within the first few months, but it is recommended to finalize choices early to avoid exam complications and ensure proper preparation.
The Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) recognizes A-Level qualifications as equivalent to the Intermediate (FSc/HSSC) certificate in Pakistan. Students must apply for an equivalence certificate from IBCC after completing their A-Levels to pursue admissions in Pakistani universities. The equivalence process ensures that A-Level grades are converted appropriately to the Pakistani grading system.
