Pearson BTEC Level 3 Nationals Qualification

BTEC Level 3 Nationals are vocational qualifications providing specialist, work-related learning
across a range of sectors. They have been developed in consultation with employers, universities
and professional bodies and all have employability firmly at their heart.

BTEC Level 3 Nationals qualifications:

  • Can be taken either as the main focus of study or as part of a wider program alongside
    other Level 3 qualifications such as A Levels
  • Offer learners the practical industry skills, knowledge and confidence they will need to
    progress to further or higher education, to employment or to an apprenticeship.
  •  Attract UCAS points in the same way as A Levels and are widely recognized and
    accepted by universities and employers.

Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Business is an Applied General qualification. It is for post-16 learners who want to continue their education through applied learning. It is equivalent in size to three A Levels and has been designed as a full two-year programme. Learners who wish to take this qualification will have successfully completed a Level 2 programme of learning with GCSEs or vocational qualifications.
